Wondering if anyone can provide some advice. I have a judgement listed on my credit report for a tuiton account from the university that I attended. After no paying on this account for about 6 months the school sent it to a collection agency. When I filed for the BK the agency was notified and I never heard anything from them. On friday I called the school myself and she said that I still owe $1100 on this tuiton account, the lady says that she has no record that this debt was discharged (which it was becuause it was not a federally insured loan or grant, so I do not have to repay this portion, but I am in the process of repaying my perkins loan). To make a long story short, I contacted the agency that handled the account, they are going to contact the lady at the school and also I faxed over a copy of my discharge letter this weekend. On Monday, I have to contact the court because after non-payment the school and agency got a judgement for me to pay the account. So anyway, due to the discharge I am expecting that the judgement will be removed after I send a copy of my discharge letter to the court. Once this is judgement is removed, should I expect my credit score to increase. Does a judgement bring it down...
Sorry it is so long, confusing situation....Thanks
