    I need positive thoughts......

Hi, just a post to let you know I have been a little out of commission lately.
I was diagnosed with brain aneurysm on 9/1/06 and will be going in for surgery on 10/5/06....I am scared spitless but cant wait to get this ticking time bomb out of my head. Its in my carotid artery right behind my optic nerve....
Needless to say a very scary time in my life.
I need all the positive thoughts I can get, so send 'em my way!

    have a good weekend, all.

Bless your heart~ this is terrible news.....
I'm SO glad though, that they FOUND it and you are still with us!!!!!!!!!
My husband is in the medical field, so I know that this is SO serious, and how most don't make it through finding out they have this until it's too late.....
Keep your chin up~ you've got a many mighty people here to keep you in our thoughts and prayers~ you certainly are in mine~
I'm sure you're in the best of hands especially since they FOUND this~ you'll pull through just fine I bet....it can be treated successfully, and you'll be one of those wonderful miracle recoveries~ but try to think positive, even though it will be hard, I can only imagine...not having walked a mile in those shoes, but hang in there sweetie~ you've made it this far~ you should weather this storm well, and be such an inspiration to others !!!
      Blessings~ my friend!!!!

        13,

I have wondered where you have been. I am sitting here asking God to hold you tightly in the palm of his hand. I have put it on my calendar to pray for you on the 5th. This must be so hard, but I believe all will be well for you. Please let us know how you are and we are here to hold your hand before the surgery.

I had noticed you hadn't been around much lately, 13inOR!!

I am so glad you were fortunate enough to catch this, get it diagnosed, and get set-up for treatment.

You'll have many many prayers for not only you, but your doctor, and all the staff that tends to you.

And selfish as it may seem,........... Be sure Hubby knows how to log in so he can tell us all how you're doing, until you can chat with us again yourself!!

13, we love you and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Just stay away from any stress right now, easier said than done. I hope you are surrounded by those who love you also. please update. I am dealing with permits and house stuff right now so not around but about once a day. Only look in on the important stuff like this. So here is my prayer for you, Lord be with 13inor, her family and bless and guide those who touch, diagnose and help her and give her good dreams and hope for the future in Jesus name, amen.

God is not the author of confusion, so may everythimng be in order.

My thoughts are with you fellow Oregonian! The state is full of shared cutting edge technology with respect to surgical procedures; OHSU and the Bend hospital. Not only will you be in the good hands of the OR medical community, but you are int he hands of all of us.

13, I will be thinking of you and praying for you. A friend of mine had successful surgery for the same thing and made it through with flying colors and he's doing just fine. I know you will, too!

Thank God you caught it before it was too late. A guy I knew in high school was leaning against his truck, talking with friends and dropped. They thought he just passed out but it turns out it was an aneurysm that burst. They called an ambulance, but it was too late. I've heard when aneurysms burst, almost nothing can be done.

I'm soo glad you caught it before it was too late. Good luck with your surgery.

I cannot begin to tell each and every one of you how much your kindness, love and caring means to me at a time like this especially. Because of where mine is, I would most likely never have survived a rupture.

I know I am fortunate to have caught it, the only reason I did was my mom had a rupture suddenly on August 11 and very nearly died. It was a miracle she lived but because of her diagnosis, the doctor suggested all her kids be screened, there are 4 of us.
Three have been screened and so far I am the only one.(my youngest sister is pregnant and cannot be screened till she delivers) My two kids are also going to be screened, and I am praying they are clear.

I appreciate hearing the success stories as well, it really helps calm my nerves.

                      Thank you so very much.

                        Success story I found

....sorry about mentioning my friend passing, I wasn't thinking about your original post about positive thoughts. I think you're going to be ok. I can understand...won't mention what I'm going through here, but yes, you need and deserve positive outlook.

Sending my prayers your way Kelly

CreditHater, THANKS SO MUCH for the great success story link. That case is so similar to mine I cant believe it! Thats the kind of thing I need to fill my head with right now. As you can see, I am up at 2:30 in the am, because as usual I cant sleep because I am so scared and worried. This has been the pattern since my diagnosis. So, this was a great thing for me to read.

And dont give a second thought about telling me about your friend dying, its no surprise to me that they can rupture suddenly and without warning, it only reinforces my gratitude that it was found in time and the fact that I need to be proactive with mine by having the surgery, I really have no option.

                          Thanks again!

I also want to wish you well in dealing with whatever you are right now as well. Hope it all either improves or works out ok.

An inhumane jerk by the name of sixfeetunder is sending me private messages of
bloody brains and asking me if I have a casket picked out.....

I know trolls are immature idiots but I did think even they had their standards, evidently not.
