Do the payments in a Chapter 13 Payment Plan have to be made by automatic deduction from your paycheck? I was hoping to mail the payments to the trustree, as opposed to my employer knowing my business? What's the usual standard, once the filing is approved? It's embarrassing enough without your employer knowing that you're going through hard times.
Any help to this question is greatly appreciated.
I suppose it depends on the trustee, but the payments are usually mailed.

You are given the option, or at least I was given the option if I wanted them deducted via payroll deductions or if I was going to mail myself. Of course I chose mail them myself. Exactly, who wants everyone to know your business.
