    2weeks/heard nothing?

My dh dropped off the documents Friday November 3rd.I know you all said that it would take a while for the lawyer to review them and then he'd have to have dh back to sign them. We've heard nothing...I called November 6th to be sure he received them(dh left them with his assistant)and the assistant said he's received them but he had not reviewed them yet,it's been almost 2 weeks at this point. How long did this process take for you?I have a feeling the 341 will be right near xmas
P.S. Will they need more pay stubs etc form us now?

    Thanks

You are paying your lawyer for a service, and it's ok to check periodically to get an update on the status of your case. Call the office today and politely request a date when the review will be done and also when you can expect to meet with the lawyer to go over the forms together.

And if either of you been paid since dropping off the forms, then yes, you'll need to provide those new pay stubs for your lawyer to include in the 'last six months' income calculation. HTH!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

His raise was only in the last paycheck, so that should dilute the impact somewhat spread back over six months. How much was the raise for?

Around $800 more a month. We live in an expensive state but we are already above the median...this isn't going to help our case AT ALL,yet there's no way we could pay back all of our debt either

I wonder what will happen to our case...

If you are above the median, has your lawyer let you know yet if you are headed for a Ch 13 or not?

One thing you can do to help yourselves - go over your living expenses again with a fine tooth comb. Use this website to help jog your memory to see if you've forgotten anything - http://www.ca-bankruptcy-attorneys.c...alculator.html . Think back through the months and also check your check registers and credit card statements to pull out irregular payments you are required to make - neighborhood association fees, once a year property taxes, etc. You haven't filed yet - it's not too late to add legitimate living and other expenses to your figures.

Remember to put down for living expenses what is appropriate for your family in your neighborhood that you would spend if you weren't teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, not what you've actually been spending! For a quick guideline for what is considered "normal" in your neighborhood for expenditures, check out http://realestate.yahoo.com/Neighborhoods . Enter your zipcode and see a listing of all kinds of average expenditures for your neighborhood. Your lawyer is the final guide to what is acceptable in your district, so follow his/her recommendations.

Hang in there, MEA2! Until you hear from your lawyer that you really are toast, until then you're still regular bread!
