Latest news. Found out yesterday that the trustee is looking into our case with a fine tooth comb and the lawyer doesn't know why. He thought for sure we'd fly through a 7. Well I found out that the paralegal in his office screwed up 3, repeat, 3 times! Of course they're looking at us like we're hiding something. Looks like we make $$$. I'm so upset. Now we are postponed another 2 months and then they want an additional 60 days extension!!!!! This will be 8 months from our 341! Possible 13 now. Although my understanding is that we have to make a payment plan on a 13. We are in the negative here. Where's that money suppose to come from?

I have been honest and accurate and have given everything to the lawyers whenever the trustee requests something.

Sorry for blabbing but has anyone, anyone at all, had to go from a 7 to a 13? I see lots of 13s going to 7s but never the other way.

Oh Sophie - how frustrating this must be for you! What kind of mistakes did your attorney's paralegal make to get the trustee to decide to delay your case? And when is your lawyer refiling your forms with the mistakes corrected?

So sorry, this has got to be a shock. This scares me though, what mistakes made them look at your case further? We are in a chapter 7 also...praying, crossing fingers and toes that we don't get converted to 13.
Our lawyer says everything looks fine, but we still have 1 more month to go, Christmas to be exact I check pacer everyday hoping that nothing will be there! How long after you filed did this happen?

I'm not trying to be a bummer, but it's EXTREMELY common for a Trustee to file an objection or motion to extend on Day 59.

Been there, done that, glad it's over.

So sorry this is happening to you Sophie.Did the Trustee give a reason? Did the Lawyer make corrections to your petition?Hopefully once corrections are made the Trustee will see that you were up front and honest with your answers.
