Hi, this is my first post, but I've been reading up for quite a few days...
I filed BK in 1997 and all cc negs have fell off of EQX and TU (except for the actual BK of course) But EXP is a different story.

I didn't realize how important it was to check credit reports or I would have done this a LONG time ago!!!

Ok, there are several things wrong here...
CHEVERON:
First off, why is Chevron showing Date last reported as 12-2004, I haven't applied for a new card or EVER checked my credit since 1998, so why are they still reporting this? 2nd: It shows I filed BK 6/2/2000! I disputed the BK date as it's obvious that I've only had a BK once and that was in 1998 as it clearly states on my report.

WELLS FARGO:
Shows date last reported as 2-2005. Once again, I have no reason to contact Wells Fargo, however, they have been my bank for over 10 years, would they still check on this? They are not listed as an inquiry. This shows my Status as BK 2-14-2005. I disputed the BK date for this one as well.

My question is, is it legal for Experien to put this in my report without investigating that I have NOT had 3 BK since 1998? They have yet to answer my dispute although I disputed online 17Feb05... they are taking their time when it is so obvious! Also, is it the creditor that is saying I filed BK those two incorrect dates or is it Experien?

I have only checked one score as I signed up for ScoreWatch (EQX) and it is 652, but I'm sure EXP is way lower since I have a LOT of inquiries where I've applied for credit cards (9) in the past two years. I believe some of these should be soft inquiries as they are on accounts I already have. But they aren't listed under the Soft Inquiry section...

Ok, I've rambled enough for my first post! I'm glad to be a part of your board. I have learned so much already!

Don't know much about the other stuff but i have not been discharged (filed in Jan. 05) yet and just for fun checked my credit report and score on all three CA. My score is EX 569 / EQ 565 / TU 565. Not one report was the same each had different infomation.
Inquiries EX 25 / EQ 7 / TU 11.
Will anything goes in love, war and credit reporting.

The amount of inquiries are different, because depending on where you live, they pull certain reports most of the time. For example, I live in Calif. and almost everything I apply for pulls my Experien report which is the worst one. Wish I could find a good card to transfer balances too that pulled EQX, score 652.

Your scores aren't too much different then my TU score of 575, so hopefully they won't go down too much more after your BK is discharged. I really wish I knew what score Experien gives potential creditors (for me) but I am sure not going to pay for it as I've heard that TU and EXP are the most inaccurate scores there are.
