Is it okay to be researching lenders prior to discharge?

Our atty told us that one could win the lottery after filing and keep the money. Maybe that's why some people do not come forward for a few mos. haha.

No lottery tickets in hand, but it is okay to be researching mortgage loans while we are waiting for the discharge paper to arrive, right? Does the trustee have any issues with that, if he sees a lender pull an inquiry prior to discharge? How often are trustees pulling credit reports before signing off on cases? Again, I have not been told that it's an issue, but wanting to hear it from you guys as well!

    Thanks!

I have never heard of a Trustee pulling a credit report - ever! I don't think they do that.

You can, but it really doesn't do you any good to apply to any until after discharge.
