Creditor not keeping word after Reaffirmation

I agreed to reaffirm a secured loan through American General Finance 4 months ago. Today someone FINALLY got back with me, and told me that my account is in a charge off status, and that they will not report payments to the credit bureaus.

That's not what my re-affirmation says. My reaffirmation says that they would re-age the account, report to the bureaus, and possibly approve a new loan after payments in full.

Where do I go from here.

If you have kept your agreement I would get all three Credit Reports. Confirm what they are doing. If they are violating the agreement I would send by registered mail a well written dispute detailing the original agreement with pertinent copies of the reaffirmation, etc...

You may want to look into filing a complaint with the FTC and CC the same to the Chairman. Also send the company a cover letter detailing how they are violating the reaffirmation and include such things as:
    CC:
Bill The Pony (with cover letter)
    FCC Chairman
    1 Whatever Plaza
    Whatever City, State

Also explain that the violation decreases your credit Score and that you will be seeking monetary damages in the near future unless they abide by the agreement.

Your posts are well written, your spelling is on the mark and you do not start your posts with "OKay so I talked to my lawyer and he said" type statements. Not to mention you did your own BK. Once you get pointed in the right direction writing the letters will be a cinch for you.
