Tax refund question

We are getting a refund of a sizable amount. the trustee wants it. Will they send back what our exemptions cover and disperse the rest, or do I have to wait until the claims deadline.

Date to file claims is may 1st.

What does your lawyer say? Different trustees handle this different ways. Your lawyer should know how your trustee has handled tax refunds in the past.
