creditor calls

I have been very hesitant on telling creditors (especially cc comp) about my bk. I guess I am afraid that they will immediately start a lawsuit. We are not filing until July. Can creditors automatically debit your checking without consent from you? Last night, Chase told me that they can do it automatically over the phone and I said no thanks. What is the law regarding freezing accounts and taking automatic payments? Should I open another checking account?

They can't just take the money out of your account. Unless you set up payments on auto deduct. July is far off, but even if they file a lawsuit, because they could even get a judgement, you will have filed. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Just file as soon as you can, so then you can put it all out of your mind.
I pray things go well for you.
