B.K. and Foreclosure are they 2 events

My house is being sold at the sherrifs sale tomorrow.
I have not filed BK yet but I need to. Would there be
any negative consequences if I wait 6 months to file
BK? Just trying to get some things in order first and
guess I have cold feet.

From what I've read,.......... The closer together, time wise, the 2 events occur, the more likely prospective Creditors in the future will view them as one event.

For example, you file BK without reaffirming on your house. Then a couple years or so later, you need to let the house go back,............ That would be 2 seperate events.

Going thru Foreclosure and then filing within 6 months may qualify as 1 event down the road.

You are going to be better off if you can file BK before the Sherrif sale if it is files after then it may be viewed as 2 events, if you file beofre it can be viewed as one event.
