I can't believe (okay, I CAN believe) the mortgage company actually asked me if I could maybe send in one payment. We haven't filed yet, still waiting for the attorney to send our petition for review (slowpoke). So, I've been telling our creditors for TWO FREAKIN' MONTHS that we're filing, I'm sure they're starting to wonder. So the calls are starting up again. :(

When the mortgage guy asked me that, I just said "now THAT woud be stupid don't you think?" :) I'm filing Bankruptcy, that means I have no money, if I had money I would have been making my payments all along and not be needing to file bankruptcy. He just said "oh". Moron!

Well if you are surrendering your home then I don't see a point in you paying, but if you plan on keeping it....you need to be making the payments.

You will be suprised the amount if idiotic ideas that come from the mouths of the collectors. I was even told, not asked, flat out told to sell my 10 year old car to at least make a $50 payment.

Nope, we're surrendering the house and actually called them 7 weeks ago and told them we had physically abandoned it and that they were renters in it. I sent them the tax bill, they said they'd pay it, so it wouldn't go to tax sale, I don't know why they're still calling. :)

they call because until you file, they can. its annoying I know....but there is not really a whole lot you can do until you do file.
