    URGENT reaffirmation question

I am in Louisiana. My Ch.7 was discharged and closed on 8/13/03.

I have been thinking of selling my home and called the mtg company to get the payoff. While speaking to the mtg company, I learned that my mtg was never re-affirmed. I was told that I was no longer financially responsible for the debt.

I know I did request a re-affirmation letter but never received one. I believe the mtg company was going through a buy-out at that time and I think I fell through the cracks.

I have been paying the mtg for the past year with no problems. My question is this....can I sell the home since I am no longer financially responsible for it?

Does anyone know where I might legally stand now?

I have been attempting to contact my atty for the last two days...but they have not returned my call yet.

    Thanks!

You question confuses me. I think I'm missing something here. Are you living in the house right now? It sounds as if, you're just making payments on the mortgage and not living in the house.
