Worker's Comp. Question

I Have A Friend Who Has 2 W/c Cases Pending Since 2001. She Was Robbed At Her Place Of Work And Suffered Injuries. Recently She Was Notified Of A Status Conference Hearing In Calif. Her Attorney Never Returns Her Calls, So Does Anyone Know What This Hearing Is About? And What Should She Do About Her Attorney?
