Last night, a repo man came and took my van. I am really depressed and worried. I know this was supposed to happen sooner or later. So what happens now? We haven't filed our chapter 7 yet and won't do so until July. I am just freaking out and disappointed.

Nothing happens now, you don't have a van.

They are going to sell the van at auction, sell it for less than you owe, and sue you for the difference. But that deficiency balance is an unsecured debt and can be discharged in BK.
