Here's my plan- how does it look?

Ok, my Ch7 last day for objections is 07/23/07. I'm trying to get a game plan together to fix my CR.

Here's my game plan so far. Suggestions appreciated!

    1. Remove old/inaccurate addresses

    2. Dispute TL's as "Not Mine" with CRA's- I have a couple that are saying charge off instead of IIB

    3. If they validate the wrong info, send letter to OC/CA demanding deletion of TL due to misinformation

    4. Sue them. I have no problem suing them if I have to. I have a legal plan through work, so the cost for my lawyer's time is NOTHING for me!

    Now, some questions:

What is a "Military" address type in Experian? I've never been in the military, never lived on base. The address listed was an apartment complex. Experian has a lot of inaccurate addresses for me- will they actually do something about it?

What is the best time line of things? I think doing the address thing is good now, and then as soon as the last day for objections and this whole thing is discharged, I start refuting it as "Not Mine."

    Thanks for any suggestions!

Ours have incorrect addresses and even wrong names. We've tried disputing that info and the CRA's don't allow it. They say it's not "authorized" or something like that. Other folks have reported similar experiences here as well.

So Good Luck fixing your names and addresses. If you get the CRA's to correct that info, let us know how you did it.

As far as the Charge Off thing,............ Ours are saying IIB. Along with "Bad Debt" and/or "Charged Off" in addition to the IIB. Even after multiple disputes. Evidently this is a new wind that blew in with the New Law.

TU and EQ don't seem so bad with the addresses (other than having addresses I've never occupied). Experian is the worst!!

I love that my car lease is suddenly a Charge Off. Yeah right. A lot of things are reporting IIB, but there's about 6 that aren't, and are IIB. I've got enough bad stuff on my report! I don't want WRONG info on there!

        1. I would personally wait on the addy disputes, unless you have already moved from the address you lived at time of filing. If you still live at the address where you filed from, wait until you move to dispute it. Then dispute that address first, as well as the inaccurate ones. Certain bureaus will try to say they won't remove it, but all you have todo is get a rep on the phone and tell them the address doesn't even exist. They're not going to get on mapquest to check.

        2. Yes do that.

        3. You can try, I haven't myself but you never know. I had luck disputing previously disputed items with new dispute criteria. Because if you simply re-dispute with the same reason again, it will come back as previously verified.

4 (and beyond) Take it as it comes. Start out just fixing any derogatory items, and go from there.
