A so-called law firm called my parents today, who I don't live with. How do I get them to stop calling? I don't mind if they call me, but I think it's out of line if they call other family members.

This is very typical of debt collectors. They'll find any way to track the debtor down. A couple of ways to prevent them from calling your family and friends is; tell them that they may no longer contact anyone else but you, at a specific phone number, but unfortunately, this is when they finally get hold of you and speak to you personally. The other way is to send them a cease and desist letter, which we have a link to samples of here: http://bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=6636Bankruptcy History:
