    Off by a year..................

How are delinquent dates compared to what's in your credit report? In August of 2005 I received a cell phone bill from AT&T Wireless. I had an issue with them which they did not satisfactorily explain to me. So I told them to cancel the service, and never paid that August bill.
So as far as I'm concerned this bill became delinquent in September of 2005.
Just looked on my CR and the collection agency to which they sent it to has it listed - date opened 8/26/06, date reported 9/30/06.
That is just about a year AFTER I didn't pay that bill. Now almost 2.
Did the delinquency begin in 2005 or 2006? SOL in California for these types of debts is 4 years. So will it be 2009 or 2010?

Looks like they "re-aged" your debt which they cannot do. Your delinquency was September 2005. I think there are some stickies that explain what you can do....
