Is it me, or is this forum getting more active?

Forums seem to have a lot more posts lately. Maybe more people are finding it, or maybe more people are finally getting a grip on reality and deciding to file. That's why I'm here...just curious.

Over the last year and a half I've been here, activity on the forum has gone up and down for no apparent reason. Maybe more folks are on vacation, or as BKOnce said, it's more entertaining to interact here than keep examining your navel for lint!

However, as our economy and housing in the US continues to decline, the bankruptcy rate is steadily climbing again after the artificial "bump" right before the law changed in Oct 2005. More folks than ever are filing because now almost two years later they've exhausted every other financial option they have. Maybe that's why the number of posts are increasing lately?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

With the debacle in the sub prime lending, I expect the BK activities to sky rocket over the next 12 months or even more.

Which is going to give the power's that be more ammo for yet another "revision" of the bankruptcy law. Oh goodie . . . .

welcome to our Forum and OUR FAMILY.......

Most all of us have filed bankruptcy, are in Chapter 13"s and many have finished their bankruptcy cases and have stayed with the forum to help others thru the process.....

Feel free to ask questions, vent if needed, and read all the information available to you on this forum.... There are manuals available thru the "sticky notes"...... Helpful guidelines listed....... Just a LOT of information for anyone that is thinking about filing bankruptcy.......

If you have a question that you can't find an answer for - post it.....we'll find one for it..... or guide you in the right direction to get that answer.

Main thing is DON'T EVER FEEL THAT YOUR ALONE!!! All of us have experienced what you feel right now..... we've been there, done it!!! AND WE ALL HAVE SURVIVED..............

And yes there is life after bankruptcy.......and a lot of times its a whole lot better than before...... and you wonder why you didn't file sooner......

So read, ask questions, and let us be there for you as a support team.

              WE ARE FAMILY.....................

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
