    Creditor Judgements

I'm having to wait a bit to file because of some cash advances. I won't be able to until about late September. We're getting creditor calls but not answering them.
Can I 'ride it out' until I file? Or, can that get a judgement against me before I file? I stopped paying CC's around mid June.

It's very likely you'll be fine for four months. We went without payments to our unsecured ccs and loans for five months before we filed. They had just started moving us to collections during the last month. No one was even close to going to court.

It's very doubtful that one of your creditors could move things through the courts to get a judgment against you in just four months even if they started filing court papers the first week you missed a payment (which they didn't).

What does your lawyer say? (If you are using one to file, that is.)
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
