Have appointment with lawyer, continue making payments?

I have a few cc bills I was going to send out shortly. I just made an appointment with a lawyer for Monday. Should I go ahead and mail these out?

My first appt is next Friday. I have stopped making payments as of this week. Gotta save up some money for the filing fee and retainer fee for the attorney.

I think most here will tell you to stop throwing money at your cc's if filing BK is what you plan on doing.

If you really intend to file bk, quit paying any debts you'll try and discharge. You're just throwing money away by paying at this point.

I wouldn't pay anything until after Monday, especially on credit cards. Now the rent or house payment(if you plan on keeping home), utilities, yes, pay them.....

After you have your consultation with your attorney, you will see things better on what you need to do and what your case is going to be like....

Not paying them right now won't make any difference one way or the other.....

Save that money to pay your attorney and filing fees.

Currenty there is a little money left over in the business. These are debts left over from the business. Plus, before all this happened we had planned on doing a remodel on the house. So we had refinanced and cashed out some money for that. That money, or most of it anyway, is sitting in my savings account. I am assuming I will probably have to give that up anyway, so should I just keep on paying until we file just to keep them off my back so to speak?
