What does this mean I received a this in the mail Notice Of Stay Of Proceeding, from my auto finance company.

They said they were going to sue me but I filed before the court date? I have no attorney. I can't afford it.

I no longer have the car it was stolen and wrecked, by the theives. It was unrepairable and they wanted me to pay the remainder of the loan. I tried to make payment arrangements with them but they declined my offer.
