Should I just tell the bank to come and get my car?

I am filing bankruptcy (this week i hope) and have gotten another car to drive as i plan on surrendering my vehichle to the bank. They call me night and day regarding my late payments (2 months late so far). I don't answer the phone at home or my cell as i know it is them (caller id). I am terrified to answer my office phone because i don't want to be faced with talking to them. i put it on voicemail when it rings then i get the messages.. should i just call the bank and tell them to come and get it so i don't have to deal with the phone calls any more?

Once you've filed, your lawyer will notify the lender you are surrendering the car. The calls should stop then.

Don't call the lender yourself to surrender the car before your bankruptcy is filed with the courts or that will mess up your filing. Hang in there - it's just another few days to ignore the ringing. You're tough....you can do it! Then everything will be quiet and you can once again enjoy answering your phone because it will be someone you want to talk with every time!

ok thanks. i almost had the nerve built up to just call and tell them to come and get it and leave me alone. i am so terrified to answer the phone. i hit the vm button every time. this is awful. i can't wait to just get everything done! thanks again!
