Creditor fwd the bk notice back to us... Should I keep this as evidence

I can't believe the creditor forward the bk notice back to us. The proof is they received it because they wrote on the notice forward to "our address". I wonder if I should return it back to them or just keep it for evidence as received. They did not open.

Sometimes the mailman will write foward to sender if the address is changed or wrong. Sometimes the address it was sent to is a pmt only address and they fwd it for that reason you should call the company and get a good address or fax number and fax or mail it to them.
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

I agree with Family, check and see if you have any other address for them. Keeping that only shows that you attempted to mail them, it does not prove they received it

If it's a CC Creditor,.......... Generally on the back of the Statement is an "All Other Correspondence" address.

Also, you can generally find an different contact address for CC Creditors on your Credit Reports. At True Credit, they list Creditor contact addresses and sometimes phone numbers down toward the bottom of the web page. Possibly when you printed out your Credit Reports, that list would be on the last 2-3 pages printed.

it is a medical bill collector. It looks like it goes straight to the hospital. They just refuse to accept it.

The law does not strictly require that the creditor "receive" the notice. If the issue ever came-up after the fact, you would only need to show that you made a good faith attempt to notify the creditor. (you don't need to go crazy trying to track down the address).

you can also call the hospital where the bill came from and ask for the billing dept tell them you filed bk and you wanted to make sure you account reflected that filing. If it does not reflect it tell them your case number and ask for a fax number and fax the petition to them. Or get an address that they want you to send it to. I had to fax a couple of creditors because they were not competent enough to note the account from the notice they received in the mail.
