I'm still doing research on whether I should file for ch7. There's some questions I can't find an answer to and perhaps someone here would know.
The car I drive doesn't belong to me. It belongs to my grandfather and I'm also insured through him so I pay him $200 per month (which goes directly to insurance fees). I also pay for all the maintenence and upkeep and gasoline. Will the trustee pursue the insurance money from my grandfather even though it goes to insurance and can be proven with documents from the insurance company? Also, would it look strange that I'm listing expenses for maintaining a vehicle even though I don't own one in my name? The car has never been in my name so it wasn't something I transferred to my grandfather because of BK. It's also an old car, a 95 toyota. The thing is I don't really want him to find out I'm filing, but I'm guessing the trustee might contact him regarding the checks I write for insurance?
