    341 meeting over....

    ONE WORD.... EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People never ever stress over the 341 meeting. My trustee was an older guy so he has a lot of experience. Almost everyone was pro se. I think three had the same lawyer.

    Okay... details...

First we got there about 25 mins early. We walked into a waiting room that looked like an elementary class room. As we waited the 9:30 group came in. At 9:40 we were all called into another room looked like a college court room class, hard to explain.

After two people we were called. Heart racing, sweat pouring, but I made to the seat next to the trustee...

The trustee asked me questions first.. All basic, no questions about why I am not working, or why my medical bills are so high..Nothing just basic. Then he asked my husband the same basic questions except he did ask my husband to state his yearly income (my be a red flag) the trustee asked me if I was working now and I said NO and he wrote something down (I guess good thing I am not working)

Then he said all done. that was it. No questions about my bankstatements, nothing about our taxes, nothing about the $1500 we had to take out before we filed so we can rent another home..nothing.

Just basic yes, no. I told him I had additional medical and he told me to add all my medical expenses there is not limit. So I will be doing that.

One lady in there was asked who the man was sitting next to her and she was like "MY HUSBAND FOR NOW" the trustee told her husband.. " it looks like your time is running out"

The trustee was so nice but professional.

I am now in the 60 day club... I am so glad this is over

I think if you don't have assets it goes smoothier then the people with assets.

I hope so LOL, it is the same as his paystubs states so if they need additional proof we can prove it but we already have them the 6 months paystubs. what happened was the trustee was going over my husband's info and mentioned his income and George corrected him. Trust me this meeting was basic.

Congrats on the meeting going smoothly. It sounds like it was a pretty standard 341. Be sure to check your mail for some corospondence regarding the no-asset/distribution.

Welcome to the 60 day club!

Thanks so much for the congrats. If there were red flags from the trustee don't they usually give you a "heads up" at the meeting ie ask additional questions. I swear it was just the yes/no questions until I explained about the additional medical expenses and my nervous husband forgot how much he makes a year. The trustee knew I was nervous, he kept quietly laughing at me, but he had some interesting people in his court today. ONe guy walked in with holes in his shoes. I hope things really are not that bad for him but he was out of there faster then anyone.

Oh did I mention no creditors???? I just knew there would be at least one for my car.

FO7, yes, you told me. I just could not get out of my head all the "bad" things that could happen and all the questions he would have. My husband and I have been saving a bottle of wnie we got in Mexico for a special occasion and this is it. I truly feel everything is going to be okay.

bkOnce, I sure hope that he wore the shoes with holes in them for "proving that he is poor" purpose only, those shoes were in bad shape. LOL>

Now the next 60days will go by fast except the last 24 hours I swear that was the longest 24 hours I have ever been through before . But you will be fine. Usually the trustee will continue the meeting if something is missing. As far as the presumption of abuse it can happen after the 341 but I think you would get a feel from your trustee at the meeting I really think it is smooth sailing now.

yeah, he mentioned the income but nothing in regards to where did the money go but trust me, we owe the IRS aroung $30000 in back taxes, huge medical expenses for just me then you add the remaining family, huge dental bill and I still have not set appts for the other two kids, we passed that means test with flying colors. he did not even mention the Indian reservation money
