Need good BK attorney in Kansas City, Missouri

I have talked with two but am looking for a 3rd opinion as I am being pulled into 2 different directions. First said, "chapter 13". Second attorney said, "Chapter 7 for sure!". Anybody in this area? I would really appreciate a good referral. Thanks

I didn't hire her only because I'd called her not knowing that she only does bankruptcies in MO, and I'm on the KS side. When I called, she was very pleasant, concerned about me, and sounded like she knew what she was talking about. I was impressed, and probably would have ended up with her if I was in MO.

Sydney, try these 3. They are also bk trustees themselves, so know the process inside and out, what other trustees are looking for, and in many instances, will personally know the trustee assigned to your case. Good luck!

Thanks! I called Barbara and Erlene......Erlene called back and we have an appt. I really liked her. I got the impression she really knows what she's talking about and wasn't just telling me what I wanted to hear that would cause snags later on. One of the attorney's I spoke with I think was just "guessing" at a lot of my questions. This lady knows the laws and I feel comfortable going with someone who represents BOTH sides of the coin. Makes filing BK a little less scary. Thanks again for the help. This website is a lifesaver!
