Another Attorney and bad news

We went to meet with a 3rd attorney... The first one was very crooked and made me sick to my stomach... The second one kept calling another attorney to ask questions... so I went to the attorney that he called... The second one told me I should go ahead and move out of my house since we were letting it foreclose since rentals in our area are very hard to find.. Small rural town.. Now this guy told me that he wished I hadn't moved because it would be a sure chapter 7 now we are running the numbers. This really stinks... He is going to cost us almost a 1000.00 more dollars however I want it done right. He is a trustee on most of the cases in our area... I left there feeling that I had gotten good honest information.. Just wish I would have went there first... Now I have made unrepairable mistakes.

Sorry to hear of your problem with your first attorney. But sounds like at least now you have a good one. If you had already hired and paid the first attorney who gave you the bad advice re moving out, I wonder if you could sue him for giving you bad advice, or threaten to sue him in lieu of his giving you back the fee you paid him for bad advice? Maybe a small claims court case?

Sorry this happened. I guess sometimes s**t happens, and there is just nothing you can do except clean it up afterwards. What a shame!

Glad you found a lawyer that you feel more comfortable with, sometimes those are cheaper and sometimes more expensive.

It is important to be comfortable with them though.

I hope he can get it all straightened out for you
