How long until Ch 7 hits credit report?

Anytime after the petition is filed? After the 341 Meeting? After discharge?

I've looked through previous posts on the board and couldn't find an answer. Does anyone know?

Some of my creditors posted negative almost immediatley

The BK filing will show up on the CR's shortly after the debtor files the petition. But are you asking about the filing itself or each creditor account?

Most within 30, all mine by 45 days.

Mine was within a couple of days. I was shocked that it moved so fast but the upside is the calls and letters stop (or should stop) right aways too.

I am curious because I have a corporate AmEx that we didn't list on my petition. It's under my company's umbrella account but was issued on my credit (although it still isn't listed as a TL on my report). I'm wondering how long until AmEx does a soft pull and cancels my card because of the BK. How embarrassing that will be if/when work finds out. ugh.

AmEx is notoriously bk-UNfriendly. Does your employer guarantees payment on your card? If they do, then you might squeak by. But if they don't, then I'd be putting together Plan B with your employer rather than waiting for the cancellation.

Got a truecredit update today. BK is listed on Experian (no where else yet)
