What does closing mean?

I see a lot on this board that people filed, went to the 341 meeting approximately 3 mos later or so and then discharge is approximatley how long after the 341 meeting? Also, what does it mean that it "closed"?

Closed is an administrative step where the clerk of clerk merely closes your case. It can occur at the same time as discharge or may occur several days or weeks later. It depends on the local rules in your area for the clerk's office.

Discharge is set to be 60 days after your first scheduled 341 meeting, even if the 341 is moved later for whatever reason.
