I have been going to a facilty for back problems for almost two years. I am really treated well there and would like to continue. However we have had some misfortune recently in the last year that have made it impossible to pay our debt so we are filing. We have stopped paying on all our bills. We will be filing in the very near future (have an atty and have taken the first few steps) My doctor is one of them. I do not want to change doctors but since I am now filing and they are one of the creditors to be dumpted, can they refuse to treat me when we actually file and they gain knowlege of this? Don't I have rights?

The relationship between your doctor and yourself is a voluntary one on both sides. You can decide to leave your physician for another one at any time, and your physician can ask you to find another physician at any time. There's no "right" to receive medical treatment from a specific physician.
Most physicians are well aware of the financial problems medical and other bills create for patients. Their office staff deal with patient financial issues and inability to pay medical bills daily. Be honest about your situation and explain that after your bankruptcy, you'll again have money to pay for his services and you would like to continue your relationship.
And although you can't reaffirm a non-secured debt, you can pay anyone back you wish after your bk is discharged and closed. It's entirely up to you if you want to pay this physician back what your bankruptcy wiped out in order to maintain the relationship.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
