Foreclosure in Michigan

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of letting a house go into foreclosure in Michigan. I'm curious what the time frame is from the time of first missed payment to the point you must move out.

We stopped paying in February of this year, but didn't file until June. About a month after we filed the Mortgage company got the Stay lifted. Our house goes to tax or Sheriff sale tomorrow morning. We have not lived in the house in almost 3 years, we've had renters in and out of it, so it's not our primary residence. I'd say you probably have at least 4 months from the time you miss your first payment until something happens in court, unless you file right after you miss your first payment.
