    When can I cancel insurance on the house?

    Our house is going to tax sale today!

    I've checked our county's useless website, can't find ANY information on such things. When do you suppose I'll find out what happened, or will anything be bothered to be sent to me? I'd like to cancel the trash pickup service and insurance.

    Stupid city signed a contract with the trash company that I HAVE to have the service as the owner, even if the house is vacant. How stupid is that?????????

    You may want to contact the policy holder and let them know that the sale is today and they should be able to tell what you should do at this point.

    At this point, you can probably cancel the trash pick-up as well. And again, you may want to contact them and inform them that the sale is today.
