    fee agreement

I'm coming in soon with the money to pay my lawyer attorney fees for a Chapter 7. I assume I will be signing a lot of paperwork when I bring the money in. I was assured my case was straightforward and should have no complications.

My questions: Should I phone before coming in and ask that they have a written fee agreement ready for me to sign? Did anybody else here do that? Or is that necessary? I assume they would have such an agreement ready for me when I come in.

I'm pretty comfortable with this lawyer and don't want to antagonize anybody; of course, the obvious answer to that is any good lawyer won't be antagonized by such a request. Still, just want some feedback.

    Thanks.

I think I would ask for one if they don't have one anyway. It seems like it would be a common practice.

I'd be surprised if, when you go in for your appointment, the fee agreement was not the FIRST document you signed.
