    Does this sound right?

Our last day for objections was on Monday. The discharge still hasn't shown up, so I called the court. The clerk said that it won't show up until 15 days after because the judge sends some papers to the creditors to make sure that they received all the information about the deadlines. She said that she has no idea why the judge does that, but that's how he does it. It just doesn't sound right to me.

BTW, this is the middle district of Alabama.

    It's certainly possible.

It is not uncommon that there is some sort of administrative delay after the objection deadline has passed.

But frankly, that is not the responsibility of the judge. I am a little suspicious of the clerk's explanation, my guess is, the clerk you spoke with probably does not understand what the judge is doing. (but I have no explanation for what the judge could be doing).
