    Credit One Bank CC

I just got one. Of course, I read all the fine print before I applied. I knew of all the fees, etc. It's not the greatest offer, but better than most that I've been getting. Here's the thing that really impressed me....

I got the Pre-approved offer in the mail. Read it all, decided to apply online. Status was pending for about 1 day, 2 at most. Then it said the status page would update when the card was sent in the mail to show the mail-out date. Good enough for me. It took about a week and a half. The status page updated and got my card within the next two days. The card says that you must call to activate it within the next 30 days or the offer would not be given. I go ahead and call and after I said "yes" that I did want the card, I hear something along the lines of "Thank you, you're card is now activated. Please remember that there is an start up fee of $$ and an annual fee of $$ that will be broken down into monthly payments of $$. Your availible balance on this card is $$."

I couldn't believe that they sat there and stated all the (sometimes hidden) fees upfront on the phone like that. I was rather impressed by that. Not only that but they are already reporting "paid as agreed" and I haven't even made the payment yet.

So, it took them less than a month to apply, get the card, activate it, and have it reported to the credit bureaus. Not bad, eh?

FTR, for those who want to know, my credit score was 550. Now is 555 after opening the card and having them report. My credit line with them is only $250 though, Oh, and that is without the start up fee and annual (monthly) fee.

Get that FICO score above 650 and your credit possibilities will improve.
