I have 2.5 months left on my apartment lease. I am moving to chicago and subleting with roomates, but my current landlord wont let me out of the lease. If I file Ch 7, will this stop an eviction and the money I would owe them? I need to know soon!!!

I don't know if it would stop an eviction, but I do know that you can get out of your lease and not owe any more money on your rent (if you move out, of course). We didn't do that, but our lawyer told us that we could include our rent as part of the bancruptcy to get of the lease and into a place less expensive.
