Hello all, new here...
In 2001 I was involved in a car accident, with no insurance (not DUI or Drug related). I was eventually sued by the other insurance company for their clients damages. I could not pay, and eventually my license was suspended until I pay this debt.
Fast forward to 2005, and a huge debt with Capital One. They sued, and won, of course. Then they placed a lien on any future property I may own. And now they have garnished my wages.
1. Can accident judgements be discharged? Is it at all possible?
2. Has Capital One done the worst possible? Or can I get this taken care of through BK as well?
I will be speaking with a lawyer when I can afford it, but I am very nervous and needing some simple advice to calm my mind. Any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance...
