    Chapter 7 Questions

Thank you everyone! I just found this board and already learned a lot. I am getting everything in order to file bankruptcy and have a few questions.

Has anyone used one of the online bankruptcy places like Bridgeportbankruptcy.com, etc. and would I really be better off using them as opposed to doing the paperwork myself. I certainly can't afford an attorney and don't want to pay them $160 if they're not worth it.

I have a small claims judgement from my former bank for about $1000 in fees on a checking account they closed, and two other medical related small claims judgements. I am I correct in assuming these will be discharged under Chapter 7? What do I need to do then to make the court judgment go away, write to the court and inform them the debt was discharged?

Is there a good way to find what debts are currently with collection agencies? I have medical debts from the last three years that have been referred to collection, and I got letters from the agency, but nothing for the past 4 months...and I tossed the ones before that. I know who the creditors are, but not the amounts. Do I just send letters to them asking for a list of all monies owed are? Do I write to the Collection agency? They aren't listed on my credit report, surprisingly.

OK, one more...I had a dispute with another bank, they were supposed to stop payment on a check and didn't, leading my account into financial ruin. They told me they would waive all the fees they charged my account, never did, and corporate filed a Small Claims, which I fought. The case was subsequently dismissed while we 'negotiated'...which never came to anything, so there is nothing stopping them from coming after me again I suppose. Should I include this as a debt on the bankruptcy to prevent them from filing again and going through the same stuff? I worry they could get a judgment despite the fact I am right, but I also don't want to 'validate' or somehow admit I ever owed this money.

And one more...my ex husband has a credit card that shows up on my credit report. We have been divorced for 5 years, but I guess this is something he had when we were married. Do I leave it alone, list it as a debt even thought it's not mine, or what? I don't worry he'll file bankruptcy and I'll somehow be stuck with it (it's not a joint account, but this is Wisconsin, a marital property state)..I think it's safe to leave it be, right? In fact because he's paying it well, it may be a boost to my credit score afterwards, perhaps?
