Judgment Question

I have a pending judgment against me...when I say pending, all they've done is served me with the complaint and I have until June 15th to answer both the plantiff and the court. I plan on filing BK on June 20th...since all I will have done by then concerning the judgment will be to have answered the complaint, will it automatically be discharged in my BK or not? Doesn't a judge have to rule on the actual judgment before it goes into effect? Thanks for any help!
