I've been in the process of trying to clean up my credit report. I have had great luck with Equifax. I've even been able to have them remove my bankruptcy that was only a month old and ALL of my derogs. I have had limited success with TransUnion and almost none with Experian. I have been doing my disputing online. Any advice about getting Experian or TransUnion to budge on things?

Lol ... I played stupid. I just claimed I knew nothing about it and they deleted it. Equifax has been super easy to deal with. TransUnion runs a decent second. Experian seems to be the evil one of the bunch. I've been having issues getting Innovis to even send me a report, so there has been no disputing even started on that report. For all I know, they're more wretched than Experian.

Was it the Public Record entry that you were able to remove or the creditors' comments? Or both?Originally posted by dpickrn View PostI've been in the process of trying to clean up my credit report. I'd be willing to bet that the BK will pop back-on your credit report. By "playing dumb" all you did was trigger the investigation provisions of FCRA..during the investigation, the CRA's are required to remove the entry.
Problem with lying or misleading the CRA's is that if you really had some serious issues with creditors reporting bad info or the CRA's not abiding by their responsibilities...your ability to bring a lawsuit for damages is compromised.

Well it will make a lawsuit against them quick and painless one day as well.
I find it interesting that BK's can even legally be reported, as they aren't a creditor...And since the BK courts don't list the info themselves, it makes me wonder where in the hell it comes from in the first place.BUSY running my own credit repair services! Demand "Re-Investigation" under the FCRA.
I would send something stating "Notice of Intent to Sue" at the top, and remind them that they MUST re-investigate if you request it.BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!
