    Should I start now?

I filed pro se on 10/12/07 and my 341 is on 11/19/07.
I just signed up for credit monitoring and I notice that only one of the bureaus is reporting the bankruptcy. Also about half the creditors have reported the bankruptcy and my accounts are at $0. A few of them have it reported but still with balances. I also have a few late payments from this month as well as the fact that I just got an e-bill/collection notice from gemoney bank.
Should I dispute anything now or wait until discharge?
    Thanks!

I'd get a headstart on it before discharge.

I'd wait a little... your creditors are probably waiting until your debts are discharged before they go assuming they are. Besides, they may also be waiting to object to your BK, it's too early to know.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic but it's still a little early in my opinion to start making those phone calls.

i filed on 10/19....and everything on Experian show's IIB because I did a dispute w/ them so it can be updated. I am a member of www. creditkeeper.com credit monitoring service. I need to contact Equifax and Trans Union..but it states that I can only dispute by mail..unlike Experian which you can do online disputes.

Don't do online disputes. You want a paper trail of all of your disputes incase you have to consider suing.

Always always always dispute everything in writing, and when you mail your dispute, send it certified mail return receipt requested.

Why would we consider suing about a dispute?

It really depends on what the circumstances are. There are things that creditors and credit collection agencies do that are against the law and in order to get them to budge and report correctly you may have to actually sue them. Sometimes they'll actually start to report correctly if you simply send an intent to sue letter.

Read the credit boards for more information:

I just know that I am preparing to have to actually *fight* to get creditors to report correctly. If I don't, that's just the cherry on the cake.

Wait until you've been filed for 30 days. The credit agencies are supposed to update at least every 30 days - you are only halfway through that cycle. I'm betting more accounts will convert to IIB over the next two weeks.

Thanks everyone! I wonder what the 30 day cycle is, maybe it's the first of the month. I will keep checking every few days.
The one card that I had the most recent charges (just under 80 days actually) on is the first one that had a zero balance and IIB. I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I am going to hope it's a good sign. The others have not had charges for 7 months or more.

Funny, Experian is the only bureau that has my bankruptcy listed too.

I think that is dependent upon the creditor and when they report.
