I am thinking that I will probably file in about 6 months. I have a recent furniture purchase of about 2k so i want to put some time between that. I am having a hard time right now making the minimums do to a few set backs. Someone had mentioned that i need to stay current on all for about 90 days before putting on the brakes on all ccs. First off i dont knwo how i am going to stay current and pay daily bills. Second even so i have this fear that i put on brakes, rack up all the late fees and such and then get dismissed without discharge..........Anyone who has filed gone through that feling?

You misunderstood, pa. You don't have to stay current on your UNSECURED debts like credit cards. If you are sure you are going to file, stop paying them! The 90 day time period is not to make any more charges on the cards before filing.Originally posted by pa308 View PostSomeone had mentioned that i need to stay current on all for about 90 days before putting on the brakes on all ccs.
What you do have to stay current on to file Ch 7 are the SECURED debts that you intend to keep after filing...your home, your cars, etc.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

My attorney says to keep making payments until you file if you have balance transfers and cash advances less than 6 months old.Originally posted by lrprn View PostYou misunderstood, pa. Then in your district, nc73, this is the right thing to do if you have balanced transfers and cash advances less than 6 months old.Originally posted by nc73 View PostMy attorney says to keep making payments until you file if you have balance transfers and cash advances less than 6 months old.
Everyone should follow their attorney's advice about what to do in each unique situation combined with each unique local court and its unique trustee practices.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
