What does this mean in Pacer?

Hello folks, thanks for all of your help. My case had this entered in a few days ago in my history section and I would like to know what it means.

"Notice of Appearance and Request for Notice"

Request of creditor persuant th the bankruptcy rule 2002(g)
providing address for service of notices.

    To the clerk:

    (1) This request is filed persuant to bankruptcy rule 2002(g)
for the purpose of ensuring that the creditor listed below receives all notices required to be mailed under bankruptcy rule 2002 at the address listed below.

    (2) The address to which all such notices should be sent and substitued for that of the creditor is blah blah blah blah

    What does this all mean?
Thanks for all of your help

P.S. It appears the address is C/O an attorneys agent.

I think it means that this creditor will appear at your 341 meeting and wants updates on your case.

We had notice like that from a creditor but creditor had nothing to do with my case, it was a mix up. I got it resolved but boy was that a scare.

It is no big deal they just want to know what is going on. My mother had 4 creditors at her 341 meeting when she filed 10 years ago and had no problems with discharge and closed on time.

also, i'd be shocked if that creditor actually showed up. Many just file a notice saying that they will, and never do. It's basically just a request to the court to send them notifications on what's going on in your case.

It just means that the Creditor has asked to receive all Notices filed in your BK Case.

Doesn't mean they'll show up at your 341. Just that they want to be mailed all notices posted as they are filed.

Some Creditors request this. Others don't. Not sure of the reason why some do.
