US DOJ Sent a letter and I am concerned.

We received a copy of a letter sent to our attorney from the DOJ. It asked several different type of questions such as income tax returns along with how we got in so much unsecured debt. I understand the questions but what I didn't understand was that the amount of unsecured debt was way off. So I went back to the papers and found that they listed my house which I am surrendering and my cars in the unsecured debt also, along with duplicates and triplicates of credit cards.

I called my attorney and he said glad that I responded so quickly to the letter but would not address why the mistakes where there. It just really aggrevates me that we pay a large amount of money and I don't get answers.

Has anyone received this type of letter before if so how did you handle it.
    Filing January 08.

When a mistake becomes a lesson was it really a mistake?

All you can do is comply with the Letter. Basically, the US Trustee has reviewed your petition and determined that it falls outside the statistical norm for filers, and therefore is doing an audit of your case.

But first off, get the mistakes fixed on the petition.
