Does anyone have trouble getting in touch with there BK lawyer?

Does anyone have trouble getting in touch with there BK lawyer?

I can always get in touch with the lawyers secretary and paralegal with no problems (who do help me for sure and seem to do a lot of work).... but when it comes to actually getting in touch with my lawyer, I have found it difficult. I can do it but it takes like 2-3 days sometimes and it is always a rushed conversation.

    Anyone have this problem?

    thanks, techno

This is common in some practices. The attorneys can be very busy with other cases, filers, 341 Hearings and any other legal proceedings that may arise in one's case..so..don't fret it too much if your attorney does not get in touch with you for 2 or 3 days and/or if he/she is short with you when you talk to them.

      Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
      Discharged - 02/16/2006
      Case Closed - 11/08/2007

All suggestions are based on personal experience and research and SHOULD NOT be construed as legal advice as I am NOT an attorney. Always consult with competent counsel in your area with regards to your particular situation.

I think that's pretty common. I do know, however, when I call and ask to speak to him the receptionist will confer with him on things. I also remember when I was doing my initial consult he got an IM from his secretary stating that someone was on the phone and wanted to know if xx and xx. So, pretty much when I called with a question, the girl would try to answer and if she couldn't she'd put me on hold (I assume she was IMing lawyer) then get back to me.

If you really need to talk to your attorney, ask them if they will set up a meeting to meet with him again. (and ask about if you'll be charged before you do it!)
