Pending Status ?

Hello folks, thanks for all of your help.
In pacer, under the case summary section, whats the difference in the PENDING STATUS field is it says "awaiting discharge" or if it says "awaiting closing"?
How come some peoples cases say awaiting discharge while other says awaiting closing? I'm looking at cases that had their 341 on the same day by the same trustee. Thanks for all of your help.

Cases that say "awaiting discharge" are waiting for the trustee to discharge their case. Cases that say "awaiting closing" have been discharged by the trustee but the case has not closed yet.

Every bk case is different so each has its own rate of progress through the bankruptcy process. Just because cases all filed on the same day or all had 341 meetings on the same day doesn't mean they will all be discharged or closed on the same day.

Hmmm, Iwith my case it said awaiting closing after the 341 meeting and well before I got discharge, while some cases said awaiting discharge while others had no pending status up until discharge. I am beginning to think that the cases awaiting closing, the trustee got the approval to be removed from the case, the UStrustee already review it and have no objections and the case is straightforward. Awaiting discharge just is what it is awaiting discharge and waiting for objections. The ones that has no pending is under review. However, this can vary county to county.
