    So anxious...

    Hello everyone. i've been lurking but finally decided to sign up and join. i filed for ch.7 on last tuesday...
    this place has tons of info and im greatful for the board.

    as i said.. im so scared now for the creditor's meeting.
    i hope it turns out to be nothing but right now, im just so anxious.

    hope i get through w/ this well and be over w/ before i know it.

    anyway i will be hanging around~

    Welcome ANEWLIFE!

    Do not be scared about the meeting. If you have nothing that would raise any flags or be cause for an objection, then your 341 Hearing will go so quick and so smooth.

        I'm curious as to what examples can be given for what would raise a red flag?

          Hi there and welcome! Things that might raise a red flag are numerous. I think the ones people are most worried about include having purchases/cash advances within 70 days of filing, transferring money or property, having crazy expenses listed on your schedules.
          Did you file with an attorney? If you have a good one, he or she will have made sure you are okay there. Also, if you filed alone (like me), and you have been lurking around here, you might already know all these red flags from reading posts!

            I haven't filed yet...but I have retained a lawyer. We have a little over $300 left to pay, and then she will file. It is really hard for me to trust that people that we hire, be it for home improvements, babysitting, or legal help, are actually doing their job the way "I think it should be done." Basically, I want to know that our case is being handled, not just put to the side until we pay. She is the only lawyer in her practice, and is a bankruptcy/real estate attorney. I hope she does us well. She said we have an easy case, and that I'm overcomplicating things. I "need to let her do her job." lol. I'm paranoid, so I ask a billion stupid questions to her.

              thank you all for kind words.
              i really don't have anything that stands up as red flags "i think" but im just nervous.
              my lawyer... he seems confident but he just rushes too much. i really wanna believe he's doing what he's good at but he doesn't get that im very nervous. but rather he rushes and always gives me the feeling that im asking really "stupid' questions.. dunno..maybe i am.. but im just so anxous about this whole ordeal and want to be over w/ it FAST!!!
              i'll post updates!! and ask questions!! TIA~
