Hearing to reaffirm my lease on a vehicle?

I have to go to a hearing to reaffirm the lease on our Nissan. Why? Whats gonna happen?

My attorney said (at least where we live) that as long as she signed off on the reaffirmation that we wouldn't have to go to a hearing, she said that she wouldn't sign off on it if she thought we really couldn't afford it

My attorney told me I might have to do the same thing. Is your budget in the negative? My attorney told me that if I have to go to a hearing to stress to the judge that I must keep the vehicle to get to work, kids to school, etc and that I would make adjustments to my budget however necessary to make the payments.
