Debts incurred during the bankruptcy proceedings

Are all the debts incurred by a debtor during the BK proceedings dischargeable?

Only debts you incurr before you filed are dischargeable.
    Bankruptcy History:
    Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
    Discharged - 02/16/2006
    Case Closed - 11/08/2007

And, you should not be incurring NEW debt during the BK...and for that matter after if you really want your fresh start.

As BassBoy pointed out, only debts that you incur before filing can be discharged.

But, to avoid confusion...what debts are you talking about?

What about debts related to payment of the rent, clothing, medical bills, etc. ? I mean everyday debts. Thanks.

Those are not debts, those are expenses.

I see we need to back-up a bit...

A debt is when you borrow money and are expected to pay it back. Thus, if you buy something with a Chase Credit Card, you are borrowing money from Chase to pay for that item. The Debt is the money you owe to Chase.
